ABOUT THE CREATOR
As of the 2021-2022 school year, Tran Nguyen is a 17-year-old senior in high school. Currently a girl scout ambassador, she is working towards her Gold Award, which is the highest award in the Girl Scouts program (GSUSA). In order to earn this award, the girl scout must create and execute a project that aims to instill lasting change within her community.
Seeing how there are still teenagers within her community who struggle to discover their passions with the distractions of social media, Tran has created the "Social Media System" to help. The goal of her project is to raise awareness among the teenage population that they can do so much more with the time that they spend on social media. Without needing to completely get rid of their devices and platforms, teenagers can learn how social media itself can be used as a tool to help others within their community.
